If you're not riding a Harley ...man, that's tough ... there's some great American production motorcycle companies out there today like Victory, Viper, Big Bear Choppers, Boss Hoss (have you seen the size of those machines?? lol) My first choice is Harley, but you can't take anything away from these newer companies that Harley paved the way for ... maybe a Victory Arlen & Cory Ness special .. beautiful bikes!
